Opening Day at the CNE

WOW — Opening Day at the CNE.  The day just flew by as we had so much fun.  Today I took my nephew Jonathan (10) and my niece Tiffany (5) to the CNE.  My nephew said to me, Aunt Dee Dee, when we waited for the GO Train to go to the CNE it seemed like forever, but now we are going home it seems liked ten minutes have just passed by.  It is funny how time just flies when you are having so much fun.

Much of the day was spent at Kids’ World.  Their favourite there was the Circus Workshop.  Kristi, Greg and Rebecca were wonderful with the children.  In fact, the kids didn’t want to leave.  I would highly recommend for people to take their children there.  There is lots of juggling tricks, a “low” tight wire, acrobatics, stilts and so much more free of charge.  In fact — there was lots of activities at Kids’ World that were free of charge for the children.  The stage shows were also a big hit.  We saw Al-EX and the EX-cellents as well as Doo Doo’s Dance Party.  There was free face painting.  YTV had a game for the kids.  After which they had a dance contest — where my niece won second prize (a CD).

Well at the end of the day we were all very tired and happy.  I just can’t wait for my next visit!

About Denise

Denise was very excited to be a blogger for the CNE this year. She is looking forward to sharing her experiences at the exhibition with everyone. Originally from Toronto, it was a yearly summer end treat each year. Still to this day the CNE has a magical effect. The dazzling lights of the rides at night. The different smells from the vendors selling everyone's favorite treats. The people working the midway calling people in to take a chance – try this game. The sites of small children with evidence of candy floss left on their faces as their eyes glisten with pleasure. Every time Denise goes to the exhibition she finds something new and exciting. No visit to the CNE is ever the same. There is something there for everyone. There is just so much to see and so much to do – she really doesn't think it can be experienced in one day. Two of her favorite activities are the Horse Building and the Food Building.
