Toronto Star Food Building

I would first like to comment on the cleaning staff in the Food Building.  Upon each visit I was constantly seeing staff cleaning the tables and washrooms in the building.  The tables where people sit and eat in the Food Building I found were kept quite clean.

Now to the good stuff.  My personal favourite is the Perogie vendors.  I saw two there this year and although I found both to quite different — both were very good.  Pasta is still a very reasonable buy a .99, extra for cheese and extra for meatballs.  The vendors that offer Back Bacon on a Bun seemed to always be quite busy.

There were many different types of foods being offered from many different nationalities.  There were samples of some products being offered some of which I tried.  All of which was quite good.  So if you would like to stay with your old favourites or try something new — there is something there for everyone.

Just outside the building there was latin music being played.  Quite enjoyable and soothing I must say.  They had a copy of their CD there for sale.  I would recommend going to the Food Building since, as I said before, there is something there for everyone.

About Denise

Denise was very excited to be a blogger for the CNE this year. She is looking forward to sharing her experiences at the exhibition with everyone. Originally from Toronto, it was a yearly summer end treat each year. Still to this day the CNE has a magical effect. The dazzling lights of the rides at night. The different smells from the vendors selling everyone's favorite treats. The people working the midway calling people in to take a chance – try this game. The sites of small children with evidence of candy floss left on their faces as their eyes glisten with pleasure. Every time Denise goes to the exhibition she finds something new and exciting. No visit to the CNE is ever the same. There is something there for everyone. There is just so much to see and so much to do – she really doesn't think it can be experienced in one day. Two of her favorite activities are the Horse Building and the Food Building.
