About Aaron

Being an official blogger for the CNE is a dream for Aaron (aka the Ex Hound). It combines his passion for writing with his love for the Ex, both of which started in childhood. Back in his younger days he would purchase what is now known as the All Day Midway Pass. He would ride the rides from when the Midway opened until Midnight, stopping only for washroom breaks and a dinner trip to the Food Building. That's why he started to visit more than once a year -- just so he could see the rest of the fair. Aaron doesn't go on rides as much as he used to but since he is a frequent attender, he still gets asked if he works here.

Competition

I’m always hunting for new experiences. I also love a good contest. The nexus point, where both occur, is the Ex. Earlier this week, I attended two contests. One introduced a sport that’s growing in popularity, while the other continued … Continue reading

Can You Do The Ex In A Day? No Way!

I have an admission to make: I seed the feet. What? You missed that?  I am embarrassed so forgive me for mumbling. I concede defeat. My quest to experience all the Opening Day had to offer was hindered because even … Continue reading
